Especially since the onus to prove that the dismissal was procedurally and substantively fair rests on the employer’s shoulders. It is therefore imperative that the people charged with overseeing a disciplinary hearing know what they are doing, to ensure that your damage is mitigated at a later stage. Remember, it is not required that these people be experts in law or evidence, what is however required is they know the basic rules of natural justice. This webinar aims to assist any chairperson charged with the task of conducting a disciplinary hearing to know what to do, and what not to.
