- The Labour Relations Act codifies the law of unfair dismissals and unfair labour practices. This means that disputes about unfair dismissals and unfair labour practices can only be referred to certain institutions as is provided for by the LRA. Only the disputes as is defined by the Act could be referred to these institutions. The Act aims at an expedited dispute resolution process, involving conciliation and arbitration to settle most dismissal and unfair labour practice disputes.
